Speech Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating speech pathology services for students with physical, neurodevelopmental, or mental health conditions associated with developmental delays.

The ideal candidate will have high-level expertise in assessment and intervention services, as well as experience working with children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment and intervention services to students with speech and language impairments
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Conduct assessments, develop goals, and provide effective teaching strategies for language impaired students within a diverse educational setting
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of student progress
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest trends, research, and best practices in speech pathology

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the latest trends, research, and best practices in speech pathology
  • Able to work cross-culturally and appreciate diversity
