New Graduate Mechanical Design Position Available

We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Port Melbourne, Victoria. This role will involve producing or revising mechanical or electrical engineering documents including CAD models, drawings, bills of material (BOMs) and specifications.
The successful candidate will work closely with Product Engineering, R&D, and Operations teams to ensure the smooth production of products.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a liaison between Product Engineering, R&D and Operations
- Learn processes, tools, systems used by Engineering, R&D and Manufacturing
- Configure products according to requirements or product change requests
- Document critical manufacturing processes and implement Standard Operating Procedures
- Partner with Engineering and R&D to design new products for manufacturing and factory suitability
- Assist Sales and end customers to expedite products while documenting changes
- Implement LEAN manufacturing principles to improve shopfloor productivity
- Review designs for manufacturability and maintenance perspectives
- Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering
- AS1100 knowledge essential
- Mechanical drafting and manufacturing experience essential: metal fabrication, sheet metal, machining detail, threads, and welding designations
- 3D experience essential
- Ability to apply engineering first principles such as stress analysis and materials science
- Experience working with ERP systems a plus; SAP preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
