Job Title: Waste Operator

Join our team and contribute to a cleaner environment by working as a Waste Operator in the beautiful Upper Hunter Valley.

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining clean and safe sites, including litter removal, mowing, and equipment use. You will also be responsible for operating Council's weighbridge in line with EPA and National Measurement Institute requirements.

  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to WHS procedures and contributing to risk assessments.
  • Identify and classify waste, direct customers, and maximise recycling opportunities.
  • Assist with the safe disposal of waste, manage mulch and woodchip stockpiles, and support Reuse Shop sales.
About You
  • Hold a Certificate III in Waste Management or have 12+ months' relevant experience.
  • Have proven Year 10 level literacy/numeracy skills with ability to complete forms, data entry, and basic cashiering.
  • Possess a current NSW White Card (Construction Induction Certificate).
  • Hold a Class C Driver's Licence or higher.
  • Have experience operating facilities in line with safety and EPA guidelines.
