Job Title: Experienced HD Fitters Wanted for Canadian Working Holiday

Barminco Canada is seeking experienced HD Fitters to join our team in Canada on a working holiday visa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the local workforce develops their skills and knowledge by sharing your experience and being a role model.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out scheduled servicing to mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to procedures, regulations, and service sheets.
  • Mentor and coach national trades personnel to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Utilize your expertise to minimize downtime on machinery and ensure correct recording and reporting of maintenance.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the workshop and working areas.
  • Read and interpret service and spare parts manuals.
  • Report equipment faults to the Maintenance Foreman for scheduling into the workshop weekly planning.
Requirements:
  • Under 35 years of age (visa requirements).
  • Commitment to a minimum 12 months stay in Canada as per visa requirements.
  • Demonstrated passion for safety and proactive attitude towards ensuring safety is a top priority for all employees.
  • Experience in training less qualified tradespeople to a high standard in a high-productivity underground contracting mining environment.
  • Strong background working with latest generation SANDVIK, CAT, and Atlas underground mobile equipment and associated automation systems.
  • At least 3 years post-apprenticeship experience working within the underground mining industry on large mobile equipment.
  • High degree of knowledge and skill in troubleshooting problems on electric hydraulic drilling equipment.
  • Good knowledge of loader and truck maintenance.
  • Competent on Auto Electrics, Hydraulic Circuit Schematics, and Diesel engine maintenance.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent service and maintenance approach to the job.
  • International Driver's License.
