Our Aged Care Precinct in the Kensington Street Building comprises a 20-bed acute aged care ward and a 12-bed Behaviour Support Unit. The acute aged care ward caters to older individuals who require hospital-level care due to acute illness. The Behaviour Support Unit is a specialized care unit designed to support patients with severe or complex behaviours associated with dementia and/or delirium at St George Hospital. Our aim is to stabilize behaviour and facilitate safe transitions to appropriate discharge destinations. This precinct is supported by a dedicated team of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

Nursing staff working in the Kensington Street Building will be required to work across both the acute aged care ward and the Behaviour Support Unit.

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality nursing care to patients/clients of St George Hospital and Health Service consistent with SESLHD and St George Hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
