The Australian Federal Police is seeking a skilled professional to lead their Forensics Operational Capability Team. As the ideal candidate, you will possess strong analytical and leadership skills, with the ability to drive strategic initiatives and enhance forensic capabilities across disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing operational delivery to inform portfolio uplift
  • Leading capability design aligned with the future strategic outlook
  • Driving research and innovation to address capability gaps

You will be responsible for mentoring emerging leaders, managing working groups, contributing to education and training development, and identifying efficiencies to streamline processes.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Australian citizenship
  • Negative Vetting 2 (Top Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • Formal tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Contemporary knowledge and at least 5 years' experience in a relevant field
  • Research experience and/or qualifications
  • Experience in capability development or project management

This position may require national or international travel and flexible working arrangements may be considered dependent on the applicant. The role attracts a composite allowance in recognition of expanded working hours.
