Administrative Assistant for Clinical Research and Support Service

This is a part-time fixed-term position at Austin Health, supporting two core activities within the Neuroimmunology Clinical Research, Education and Support Service (N-CRESS). The successful candidate will prepare, compile and review clinical trials documents for Ethics submission, negotiate and finalise clinical trial agreements and study budgets, and assist in financial tracking, invoicing and reporting of revenue and expense.

The role involves working with the Research Administration Coordinator to facilitate a streamlined and efficient process for the approval of N-CRESS clinical trials. This may also include supporting some activities within the N-CRESS Research clinic, such as seeing research participants, performing research assessments, contributing to research data collection and completing data entry.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring enthusiasm, positivity and flexibility, along with attention to detail and ability to understand medical terminology / biology. You should have excellent oral and written communication skills, including punctuation, spelling and grammar, and be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Prior experience or qualification working in the financial field, including tracking, reporting, budgeting and invoicing, would be an advantage.
