Job Overview

This role involves the development of operational capabilities in relation to specialized equipment usage and management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Equipment Coordination: Coordinate the issuing, servicing, testing, and unplanned maintenance of specialized equipment.
  • Education and Training: Engage with brigades to coordinate equipment relevant education.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory lists for effective equipment management.
  • Liaison Services: Liaise with external agencies related to equipment maintenance.
  • Advice and Guidance: Provide advice on training materials, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Equipment Purchasing: Lead activities in relation to equipment purchasing and user evaluation.
Requirements
  • Must meet the mandatory requirements as outlined in the generic RFSQ Rural Officer Two (RFSO2) role description.
  • Prior experience working with volunteers or within a volunteer organization is highly desirable.
Working Conditions

This is a daytime position that may require flexible hours to meet functional demands, including occasional night shifts and weekend work.
