About the Leisure and Lifestyle Role

We are seeking a friendly and self-motivated individual to support residents in participating in activities aligned with their individual needs and care plans.

You will work closely with a dedicated team to:

  • Determine strategies and opportunities to maximise engagement and promote healthy lifestyle practices for residents.
  • Organise activities that cater to the needs of people living with dementia, focusing on independence and promoting healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Assess resident's leisure and health needs using appropriate methods under the guidance of an experienced worker.
  • Collect and review relevant information to establish resident needs and develop strategies to address challenging behaviour.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification.
  • A current First Aid Certificate.
  • Previous experience working in an aged care facility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed prioritisation and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
