Job Summary:

Costa Group is seeking a skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team in the Riverland Region of South Australia. As an Irrigation Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our water resources.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement Water Management Plans: Develop and implement water management plans to meet seasonal requirements, ensuring optimal crop growth and water conservation.
2. Maintain Irrigation Infrastructure: Clean, repair, and maintain sprinkler and drip irrigation systems, including drip lines, filters, valves, and pumps.
3. Troubleshoot Irrigation Issues: Identify and resolve irrigation-related problems, working closely with the Farm Manager and other team members.
4. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of irrigation activities, fertiliser usage, and other relevant data.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.
2. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve irrigation-related issues, with supervision.
3. Literacy and Numeracy Skills: Strong literacy and numeracy skills to maintain accurate records and perform calculations.
4. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills to assess electronic soil moisture probe data and other relevant information.
