A Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced clinical environment. As part of our team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing services to patients, including responding to emergency situations, prescribing medications and vaccinations, and ordering diagnostic investigations.
It is essential that you adhere to the competencies, guidelines, and codes of professional standards set by regulatory bodies such as the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Defence Policies and Procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced nursing care to patients
- Respond to emergency medical situations
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care
- Australian Citizenship or equivalent security clearance
- Master of Nursing degree or higher qualification
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a relevant setting
