As a key member of the organization, you will lead the development and implementation of environmental sustainability elements of our ESG strategy. Your expertise in developing and implementing programs aligned to ESG strategies, managing ESG data and reporting processes, and collaborating with teams to drive improvements will be crucial to our success.

The ideal candidate will have experience in driving sustainable outcomes through strategic planning, effective stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. They will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programs aligned to our ESG Strategy across asset management, development projects, and capital transactions aspects.
  • Guide the delivery of our Net Zero carbon emissions target by 2028.
  • Monitor and quantify the financial impacts of climate change and drive the delivery of climate resilience measures across the asset portfolio.
  • Manage ESG data and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Complete environmental sustainability reporting and benchmarking obligations, including ESG Report, GRESB Reports, NGERS, NABERS, and Green Star.
  • Monitor asset and fund level environmental sustainability performance.
  • Collaborate with asset and national operations and investment teams to identify asset and portfolio-wide programs to drive improvements.
  • Promote our environmental sustainability approach to clients through presentations and reports.
  • Stay abreast of environmental sustainability trends and industry developments.
  • Build effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of our ESG Strategy.
  • Manage our environmental management system and monitor environmental incidents and corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in environmental science, sustainability, environmental management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a similar role, with an understanding of working across complex organizations to develop and implement environmental sustainability programs and ability to interpret ESG data and reporting processes.
  • Self-driven with a history of delivering measurable environmental sustainability outcomes.
  • Experience in successfully promoting and influencing to deliver outcomes.
  • Ability to manage time and pivot priorities, understanding deliverables required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
