Job Opportunity: Electrical Engineer">

We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing panel layouts, schematic designs, switchroom/terminal station layouts, cable/wiring schedules and related documentation related to the design of HV and EHV terminal stations and substations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake design drafting of substations, overhead and underground sub transmission and distribution to a high technical standard;
  • Review and assess brownfield and greenfield sites;
  • Manage outcomes within project programme constraints whilst maintaining high levels of technical performance;
  • Review work as part of the peer review process from time to time as may be required;
  • Effectively manage the detail design from concept through to final design implementation to agreed scope, quality, time frames and budgets;
  • Identify and manage scope variations according to client and/or project requirements;

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience with demonstrated experience on electrical utility projects;
  • Technical qualification such as a Diploma of Electrical Engineering (or equivalent);
  • Relevant work rights to live and work full-time in Australia;
  • Current full Victorian Driver's License;
  • Demonstrated experience within the Electrical Transmissions/Distribution industry;
  • Understanding of Electricity Distribution systems and process requirements related to design work;
  • Experience and knowledge in overhead and underground line design of sub transmission and distribution systems;
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation;
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levels;
