Key Responsibilities of the Teacher Role:

The primary focus of this role is to plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching programs that cater to the diverse needs of students. This includes developing curriculum content, implementing teaching strategies and assessing student learning.

In addition to delivering classroom instruction, teachers in this role will contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school.

Teachers will also participate in policy development, project teams and the organisation of co-curricula activities. They may be required to undertake other duties as determined by the School Principal.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school;
  • Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal;
  • Participating in academic and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

This role requires a teacher who is skilled in planning, preparing and delivering teaching programs that meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.

They will also have a strong understanding of curriculum content, including literacy and numeracy skills, and be able to implement evidence-based teaching practices to enhance student outcomes.

It is expected that the teacher will participate in ongoing professional learning and development to continually improve their practice and stay up-to-date with best practices in education.
