About the Role

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team as Rehabilitation Specialists, providing culturally safe and trauma-informed residential support to Aboriginal men participating in our Alternative to Custody (ATC) program.

Your responsibilities will include assisting in daily program delivery, resident care, and community reintegration efforts. This may involve supporting residents with their goals and aspirations while fostering independence, conducting alcohol and drug testing as required, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment by maintaining facilities, vehicles, and assets.

You will also be responsible for recording and maintaining accurate case notes, handover reports, and other required documentation, as well as collaborating with colleagues, case managers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for residents.

About You

To qualify for this role, you will need a Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, or a willingness to undertake this qualification. A First Aid Certificate and CPR certification will also be essential, along with a valid NT Driver's License and a Working With Children Check.

Additionally, we value candidates with exceptional communication skills, who can engage with diverse residents and staff in a non-judgmental and culturally appropriate manner. You should have a deep respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their relationship to Country, and be able to support residents in achieving their treatment goals using a culturally competent, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach.
