Teacher - Intensive Language Educator

This is a teaching position available for an English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) educator. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the Intensive Language Centre (ILC) and providing language programs for students in Years 7 to 10.
The role involves coordinating excursions and cultural events, developing targeted language programs, and preparing students for successful integration into mainstream classes. A dynamic teaching style tailored to EAL/D learners and experience or capacity to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) and/or General English as an Additional Language or Dialect are required.
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality language programs for newly arrived students.
- Organise excursions and events that support cultural integration and language development.
- Prepare students for transition into mainstream classes through targeted academic and social support.
- Lead a team approach to supporting EAL/D students across the school.
- Maintain strong communication with families and external support agencies.
- Deliver language programs aligned with the WA Curriculum.
- Develop and implement targeted instructional strategies to support EAL/D students.
- Foster strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with external agencies.
- Holds an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- An Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa holder.
