Job Summary:

The Production Painter will be responsible for preparing and painting equipment for the Port Macquarie manufacturing and service business. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sections, parts, materials, and equipment for painting
  • Apply paint according to manufacturer recommendations
  • Clean machines, related equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning agents
  • Mix paint according to product Technical Data Sheets
  • Adjust spray gun, paint booth, and mix room settings to achieve quality paint finish outcomes
  • Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections
  • Operate machinery and observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards
  • Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Proficient language, literacy, and numeracy skills, including the ability to write job notes and read safety information
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to take direction and work as part of a busy team
  • Good communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
