About the Role:

RDO Equipment Australia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Yardperson to join our team in Melbourne. As a Yardperson, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment yard, including detailing, deliveries, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Detailing of new and used equipment, including cleaning and preparing equipment for delivery
  • Deliveries of equipment and parts, ensuring timely and safe transportation
  • Ensuring quarantine and fumigation practices are followed, maintaining a safe and environmentally controlled work environment
  • Organizing the yard and showroom to display equipment, ensuring all machines are securely stored and presented
  • General warehousing duties, including inspecting inward freight for damage and liaising with freight companies
  • Assisting with cleaning and maintaining the workshops and surrounding areas
  • Conducting general maintenance and repairs throughout the branch

Requirements:

  • Current and valid forklift license
  • Prior experience in loading and unloading machinery and using trailers
  • Strong communication and exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to follow directions with excellent attention to detail
  • Physical fitness to lift, move, and arrange stock safely
