About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team at BGIS, where you will play a critical role in ensuring our contracts meet key performance indicators and deliver exceptional client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage or assist with accounting functions, including cash flow, transactions, accounts payable/receivable, audits, and comprehensive reporting.
  • Process payment claims for supplier reimbursements efficiently.
  • Provide support and guidance to our accounts/finance team, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues, participating actively in meetings.
  • Ensure all stakeholders adhere to OHS&E policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years in accounting/finance, with a preference for experience in property and/or facilities management.
  • Proficiency in AP systems, from raising purchase orders to invoice matching and payment.
  • Expertise in managing financials on an accrual basis, including detailed monthly report analysis.
  • Strong business planning skills and high-level financial knowledge.
  • Capability to understand, interpret, and report on property-related information and trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Outstanding ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • A driven mindset focused on delivering top-quality service.
  • Talent for developing positive, lasting business relationships at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team and interact with colleagues at various levels.
  • Skilled in Word, Excel, and Outlook, with intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Experience with systems like Manhattan and Pinnacle is a plus.
  • A proactive, 'Can-Do' approach to work.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in financial information systems/applications.
