Head Sommelier Role Summary
\We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Sommelier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of wine and food pairing, with a strong understanding of COGS and hospitality management.
\Key Responsibilities:
\- Lead the wine team to excellence by managing inventory, crafting and updating the wine list, and supervising wine service.
- Build relationships with winemakers and suppliers to source the best wines for our customers.
- Train and develop our Sommeliers and Wine Waiters to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional customer service.
- Curate special wine dinners and events that showcase our expertise and build customer loyalty.
Requirements:
\- Australian working rights and a current QLD RSA certificate.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- A positive attitude and a love for delivering exceptional customer service.
