As a skilled mechanical technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on machinery and equipment. This includes conducting installations and upgrades to ensure optimal efficiency and maintaining mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems as required.

Your key responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues with a focus on minimizing downtime, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational procedures, and assisting in the planning and implementation of mechanical maintenance activities.

You will also be expected to maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance. To succeed in this role, you will need a trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent, proven 3 years' experience as a fitter, a Forklift Ticket, strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
