Decision Modelling Manager Job Description

As a pivotal leader in our global network, you will provide high-level counsel to clients on capital preservation, optimization, acquisition, and investment strategies. This role involves managing, delivering, and reviewing a wide range of decision modelling engagements supporting our clients in making critical business decisions.

The opportunity is to join our Valuation Modelling and Economics (VME) division within the Strategy and Transactions (SaT) sector. Our team works with a variety of clients and industries, gaining experience in understanding client issues and building client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial modelling projects for various purposes such as management planning, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, restructuring and reorganisation, and corporate strategy.
  • Assume a leadership role in report generation and detailed financial modelling.
  • Build and nurture positive, productive, and professional relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, mentor colleagues, stay informed about current business and economic trends relevant to clients, and leverage the latest technology and tools to enhance service delivery.
  • Seek out and seize new business opportunities, participating in client proposals and presentations to grow the valuation practice.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members through delegation and hands-on training, fostering an inclusive and innovative team environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

A bachelor's degree with around 8 years of relevant work experience, or a master's degree with approximately 7 years of related work experience. Exceptional numerical and analytical skills are required, preferably with a degree in IT, Engineering, Economics, Sciences, or Accounting & Finance. Highly desirable knowledge in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, strategy, and/or financial research is also expected.

Experience in business development and client management is highly valued. Strong financial modelling skills with the ability to create financial models based on strategic financial business plans are essential. Ability to manage project expenditures against budget and revenue, and provide guidance to team members to ensure the completion of work deliverables is also required.
