We are seeking a qualified and experienced secondary teacher to join our team at ACC Victoria Online. As a senior teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students in Years 7-10 and developing online VCE courses for delivery.
The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching in an online environment and be committed to improving student academic outcomes. They will also have high expectations for what students are capable of, both academically and behaviourally.
In this role, you will be working with children who are engaged in online learning and require a teacher who can adapt to this new environment. You will need to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and be able to relate well to staff, students, and parents.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study;
- Competent in the use of ICT learning platforms, in particular, Canvas;
- Have the content knowledge and pedagogical practice to engage students in online learning;
- Demonstrate a commitment to improving professional practice through coaching and professional development;
- Provide a child-safe environment in accordance with the child-safe standards;
- Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and always follow the school's child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures;
- Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct;
- Identify and raise concerns about child safety issues in accordance with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures, including following the Four Critical Actions for Schools;
- Ensure students' views are taken seriously and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives;
- Model and promote the vision and values of the school;
- Teach an area of the curriculum to senior year levels and develop online VCE courses for delivery;
- Maintain records of class attendance and record student progress;
- Implement effective student management consistent with the school's strategic plan;
- Attend and participate in staff meetings as required;
- Be actively involved in regular staff devotions and prayer.
