Coomera Springs State School is seeking a dedicated facilities and grounds officer to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students and staff.


About the Role

This role involves ensuring school grounds and facilities are well-maintained, compliant, and support a high-quality learning experience. This includes day-to-day activities such as mail delivery, message recording, printing, and photocopying, as well as preparing classrooms for examinations and activity halls.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain school grounds and facilities, including drainage and gutters.
  • Support security duties at the school, including banking and locking buildings.
  • Assist with waste collection, cleaning duties, and rubbish disposal.

Evaluate and report on workplace health and safety requirements, including maintenance of a safe work environment, chemical storage, and equipment management.


Requirements
  • Current Queensland Government employee status.
  • Able to attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees who have an understanding of your relevant work history.
  • Able to attach a 1-page written statement about how your achievements and capabilities meet the requirements of the role.
