Lead Data Engineer Opportunity

We're building a world-class data team and seeking a skilled Lead Data Engineer to help us lay the foundation. This role will play a key part in shaping our data infrastructure, processes, and analytics culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build robust, scalable data pipelines to transform raw inputs into usable datasets.
  • Consolidate data from internal systems and external APIs, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain clean, well-documented data models for analytics and reporting.
  • Support data governance by implementing standards around security, access, and data lineage.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Deliver dashboards, reports, and visualisations that make complex data easy to understand.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business questions into data projects.
  • Apply statistical models or machine learning to support fraud detection, conversion optimisation, and customer experience improvements.

The ideal candidate has proven experience as a Lead Data Engineer, Data Engineer, or in a similar analytics/engineering position, with strong proficiency in Python or R, expert-level SQL skills, and hands-on experience with data modelling, ETL, and data warehousing. Experience working in fintech, payments, or a high-growth SaaS environment will be highly regarded.
