Your Role

As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our occupational therapy teams across the region. You will work closely with experienced therapists to promote excellent clinical outcomes, interventions, and discharges.

This role is primarily based at Frankston Hospital, with a varied caseload including orthopaedic, neurological, and general medicine cases.

You will have the opportunity to source and provide equipment, develop therapy programs, and educate patients as prescribed by the occupational therapist.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we anticipate that you will possess:

  • A minimum qualification of Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance from a recognised training institution
  • Previous experience working in an acute or sub-acute inpatient setting (including student placements)
  • Demonstrated understanding of the goals and priorities of occupational therapy within a hospital environment
  • Ability to provide individualised therapy and education to patients as prescribed by the occupational therapist
