About the Role:
We are seeking qualified Transmission Line Workers to join our team on a long-term basis. As a Transmission Line Worker, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical supply equipment, including conductors, aerial equipment, and underground cables and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing and maintaining electrical supply equipment, including conductors, aerial equipment, and underground cables and equipment.
- Attending to electrical breakdowns and emergencies.
- Maintaining poles and associated hardware, and continuity of electrical supply and street lighting.
- Conducting routine maintenance on the aerial and underground electricity supply network.
- Conducting low-voltage switching operations.
- Fitting pole hardware and crossarms.
- Preparing low- and high-voltage cable joints and cable terminations while connecting and installing electrical equipment and overhead lines.
- Using heavy plant equipment such as elevated work platforms and portable equipment such as hydraulic drills.
- May undertake substation installation and maintenance, and specialized testing and revenue meter installation.
Requirements:
- A strong commitment to working safely with your team.
- A Cert III in transmission lines being AQF Certificate IV or a AQF Certificate III with 2+ years of experience.
- High risk licences including intermediate/advanced rigging.
- Australian work rights.
What We Offer:
We offer long-term roles on a FIFO, DIDO basis. Pay rates are commensurate on experience and qualifications and range from $35 to $55 per hour plus true time calculations on overtime and other allowances such as tools.
