Mental Health Counsellor Role

We are seeking skilled mental health professionals to join our multidisciplinary team. This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young clients and adults.

The purpose of this role is to provide focused counselling interventions, complete assessments and reports, and develop recovery plans to assist participants meet their psychosocial and functional goals. Key aspects of the role include:

  • Providing comprehensive support to clients through individual and family counselling/therapy, assessment, and identification of needs
  • Developing and implementing recovery plans to promote interventions and report writing
  • Maintaining professional management of client caseloads and ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Minimum 6 months experience working as a social worker, counsellor or psychotherapist
  • Strong empathy and understanding, with ability to maintain and develop solid relationships between children, parents, and families in the community
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with Youth Mental Health
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Schedule

The role is available Monday to Friday, with part-time hours ranging from 20-38 per week. Salary: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year.
