We are seeking a talented Senior Front-end Engineer to join our Software Engineering team at Newfold Digital in Sydney, Australia.

Job Summary

In this role, you will work with a team of highly technical Software engineers and Operation Engineers to engineer great products, deliver high uptime, and build reliable systems.

As a Senior Front-end Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing high-quality software products using HTML5, CSS, React, and JavaScript (ES6 and beyond). You will also contribute to continuous improvement and agile SDLC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other developers on a team to design, develop, maintain, and enhance high-quality software products.
  • Build scalable, enterprise-class software products.
  • Resolve problems of advanced scope and engage assistance from more experienced team members where appropriate.
  • Contribute to and benefit from a team of amazing people.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement and agile SDLC.
  • Mentor & Motivate other software engineers.
  • Write clean, well-formed, testable, and maintainable software following the accepted coding standards and using best software development practices.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects in software and related systems on an advanced level.
  • Contribute to the project discovery process in a meaningful way.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A strong understanding of 3+ years of experience in HTML5, CSS, React, React Hooks, JavaScript (ES6 and beyond), TypeScript.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills; ability to produce clear, concise communications and documentation.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Unit Testing, Git, CI/CD using Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with analytics framework viz. GTM, Hotjar, etc.
  • Exposure to technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, API Gateways, Service Workers, CDN, etc. is a plus.
  • Openness to change and eagerness to work with tools and technologies that may be outside your comfort zone.
  • Excellent conceptual, and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Mobile app technologies such as React Native is a plus.
  • Experience with PWA and SPAs is a plus.
