Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for independently operating machinery to cut, bend and process steel reinforcement mesh to project specifications. They will be part of a team producing quality mesh panels used in precast foundation systems.

This includes:

  • Setting up, operating and monitoring the mesh processing machine
  • Loading raw material (steel bar/coils) and managing machine output
  • Reading and interpreting bar schedules, cut lists, and technical drawings
  • Performing routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues
  • Conducting quality assurance checks on finished reinforcement mesh
  • Collaborating with the workshop team to meet daily production targets

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating complex machinery with precision and attention to detail
  • Maintaining accurate records of machine usage and output
  • Working effectively as part of a team to achieve production targets

About You:

You will have experience operating off-coil or similar automated mesh machines, a solid understanding of reinforcement fabrication and mesh layout, and the ability to read and interpret engineering/fabrication drawings. High attention to detail and commitment to safety, as well as physical fitness to lift, stand, and move steel safely, are essential.

A fork lift license and overhead crane experience are highly regarded. The opportunity to work with prefabricated foundation systems is also desirable.
