Senior Youth Worker and Resi House Manager

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Youth Worker and Resi House Manager to join our team in Ipswich, Australia. As a key member of our residential care team, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to young people who are vulnerable and in need of assistance.
Salary PackageThe successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of approximately $80,000 - $90,000 per annum, plus benefits and bonuses.
About the JobIn this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, helping them to build life skills, healthy attachments, and independence. You will work closely with the team to develop and implement individualized care plans, provide emotional support and guidance, and help young people to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized care and support to young people, including developing and implementing care plans, conducting risk assessments, and providing emotional support and guidance.
- Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement policies and procedures, ensuring that all activities are safe and effective.
- Participate in case management and supervision, receiving feedback and coaching to improve your practice.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs, ensuring that staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality care.
- Manage a roster of shifts, including overnight duties, and respond to emergencies and crises as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 year's experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of child protection principles and practices, including reporting obligations and mandatory notifications.
- A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and Australian Driver's License.
