About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate caregiver to join our team at one of our Respite Centres. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing care based, person-centred approach for our long and short term staying clients.

Your primary focus will be on assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, medication monitoring, meal preparation, and cleaning. You will also be required to regularly liaise with our Care Coordinators to provide updates on client care needs.

To be successful in this role, you must have initiative and be able to effectively prioritise and multi task. Great interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to quickly learn and use new software for record keeping.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities - personal care, medication monitoring, meal preparation, cleaning
  • Regularly liaise with our Care Coordinators to provide updates on client care needs
  • Carefully follow client care plans, and log activities via smartphone
  • Develop trust and maintain positive rapport with our clients and their families
Requirements
  • Initiative and the ability to effectively prioritise & multi task
  • Great interpersonal & communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn & use new software for record keeping
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Advantageous to have studied Certs in Aged Care or Individual Support or Community Services or equivalent
  • Valid Drivers Licence
