Project Cost Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Controller to join our team and work on a major infrastructure project in Far North Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tracking, monitoring, and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle
  • Interpreting specifications and standards to assess their impact on project costs
  • Implementing a cost control model to increase profitability by identifying variances between budgeted and actual costs
  • Analyzing actual costs against planned costs and forecasting final costs versus budget
  • Creating tender event schedules for procurement programs
  • Budget/tender reconciliation, change management, and variance analysis
  • Quantifying and costing construction work
  • Preparation of Bills of Quantities
  • Collaborating with project managers and engineers to manage risks and opportunities
Requirements:
  • Tertiary or trade qualification in quantity surveying
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience working on infrastructure projects within the construction industry
