This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Treasury and Finance as a Senior Policy Officer, working on regulatory reform initiatives that drive meaningful change across the Victorian regulatory system.
As a key member of the team, you will coordinate and drive progress on complex projects, think strategically about regulatory issues, and deliver impactful reform. You will also engage with key internal and external stakeholders, prepare and deliver high-quality advice, and synthesise various pieces of work to prepare comprehensive and coherent presentations.
About YouWe are seeking applications from candidates with demonstrable experience in project management, analytical and research skills, and stakeholder engagement. You will have a strong understanding of regulatory practices and the ability to think strategically about regulatory issues. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain networks with departments and agencies, regulators, and business groups.
In addition, you will have a tertiary qualification in economics, law, or a related public policy field, and experience working within a regulator or collaborating with regulators to deliver reforms. You will also be committed to fostering a positive culture, mentoring and supporting junior team members, and strengthening relationships and influence across government.
