Key Responsibilities- Design and Preparation: Design and prepare drawings for surface water, sewer networks, and external ground levels in residential and commercial sectors.
- Highway Design: Design and prepare highway designs, including vertical and horizontal geometry, with experience in Highways and Drainage design (S278, 38, 104).
- Software Proficiency: Work with specialist software for drainage and infrastructure design, including AutoCAD, PDS, and Microdrainage/Windes.
- Technical Schedules: Prepare technical schedules.
- Client Representation: Represent the consultancy at meetings with clients, other professionals, and suppliers when required.
- Project Management: Ensure project work is carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget.
- Service/Design Decisions: Ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are met.
- Communication: Communicate with Directors on relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate your work with other members of the project team and ensure all relevant staff are informed of client matters.
- Mentoring: Mentor and assist Graduate Engineers where required.
- Professional Development: Embrace CPD, self-learning, and personal development.
- Chartered Status: Actively work towards Chartered Engineering status (where applicable).
- Team and Project Management: Confidence and ability with team and project management.
- Ambition and Integrity: Ambitious, committed, and with integrity.
- Software Skills: Good experience of structural analysis and design software.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy of own work and that of others working with you.
