Pit Technician Role

Seeking a skilled Pit Technician to join our team at a leading mining company in Perth, Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

  • Maintain effective ore excavation and communication with mining personnel to ensure efficient mining practices
  • Undertake grade control drilling sampling and monitor programs to meet production targets
  • Grade control drilling and sampling
  • Accurate collection and reporting of production data
  • Assist with ore preparation and processing
  • Record and dispatch samples and sample sheets, including data entry
  • Reconcile ore and waste truck tallies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor mine operations to ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations
  • Collaborate with site teams to achieve optimal production outcomes
  • Develop and implement effective sampling plans to inform decision-making
  • Manage and report on production data to support strategic planning
  • Support the maintenance and upkeep of equipment to minimize downtime
