Director of Global Medical Affairs Operations

Reporting into the SVP Global Medical Affairs, Behring, the Director, Therapeutic Area Program Management is responsible for optimizing the utilization and maintenance of existing technology and systems for global medical affairs. This includes integrating new technology opportunities to meet the strategic needs of Medical Affairs (MA).
Main Responsibilities:- Develop a strategic plan for all MA activities requiring a platform approach, ensuring utilization across the globe of such platforms.
- Identify opportunities where MA can enhance operational efficiency by using state-of-the-art technology, benchmarking across the industry for optimal MA technologies.
- Ensure harmonization across the globe.
- Lead the administration, training, maintenance, and enhancements of all systems utilized by MA, including Veeva, Cyber grants, and Pubs hub.
- Lead the standardization of MA KPIs and direct GBE towards creating a single dashboard to represent key metrics across MA.
- Lead budget management, including forecasting and HLR planning for Global Medical Affairs.
- Ensure collaboration and alignment with local affiliates and lead automation of budget tracking for seamless execution and translation to senior management.
- Collaborate with GBE, TA Heads, and Legal to ensure all contracts for all projects are executed in a timely fashion and stored in Companion.
- Advanced medical and/or scientific degree (masters or higher) with 10+ years of pharmaceutical/biotherapeutics industry experience.
- Experience building and leading matrixed teams in a global organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex, competing projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills, strategic capabilities, project management, planning, and organization skills.
- Influential leader who builds relationships across stakeholder types.
- Executive presence with ability to communicate complex data persuasively and relate study results and knowledge of therapeutic area to industry-specific applications.
- Strong working knowledge across multiple therapeutic areas and products.
