The Field Officer plays a pivotal role in promoting mental health and suicide prevention initiatives within the construction industry across Sydney.
With a strong background in construction and a passion for mental health, you will be responsible for delivering training programs, conducting site visits, and providing one-on-one support to foster an environment conducive to open conversations and accessible help.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Promote the MATES in Construction program to workers, companies, and industry leaders.
- Deliver suicide prevention training and establish on-site peer support networks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing sites, tailoring approaches to suit individual needs.
- Coordinate and schedule site visits and training sessions across NSW.
- Provide direct support to construction workers experiencing difficulties, connecting them with relevant services and resources.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and contribute to reporting and data collection.
- Support broader community engagement activities to enhance the reach and impact of the MATES program.
