Ability Action Australia is one of the largest providers to the NDIS, supporting over 10,000 participants every year with the care they need when and where it is needed.

Job Description

We are expanding our team in Penrith and would like a passionate and dedicated independent Registered Psychologist to join us in making a positive impact in our community.

We are looking for Registered Psychologists in Penrith with experience working with NDIS participants.

In this role you will:

  • Manage a caseload of NDIS Participants across the lifespan and from varying socio-cultural backgrounds and complete therapeutic processes in a timely manner.
  • Undertake comprehensive clinical interviews and assessments and interpret findings to collaboratively determine and achieve goals that align with NDIS Plan goals.
  • Deliver person-centred tailored interventions with a systemic focus that also includes delivery of therapeutic support and training to stakeholders.
  • Monitor interpret report and address signs and symptoms of risk and acute distress that may arise during any therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide written reports to NDIS outlining progress reviews and ongoing areas of need.
  • Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current general registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience working with NDIS participants.
  • Excellent time management communication and writing skills.
  • Relevant insurance including Public Liability Professional Indemnity and Comprehensive Car Insurance.
  • Police clearance Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Active ABN.
