Litigation Attorney

Wallace Wilkinson & Webster is a progressive Tasmanian legal practice offering specialist advice in all aspects of the law.

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join our well-respected and close-knit Litigation Department. Ideally, applicants will have at least three years of post-admission experience.

The role may involve resolving disputes in areas including commercial and corporate law, estate law, insolvency law, and employment law. The successful applicant will be required to manage their own workload and undertake tasks including preparation of legal documents, reviewing documents, providing advice, drafting pleadings, briefing counsel, and appearing in courts and tribunals throughout Tasmania.

Key Requirements

• A strong understanding of principles of commercial and corporate law, estate law, insolvency law, or a suitable combination
• Demonstrate experience in litigation, in particular drafting pleadings and appearing as counsel in courts and tribunals
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills
• Proven time management and organisation skills
• Be self-motivated
• High attention to detail and effective communication skills
• A desire to produce high-level work and achieve practical outcomes for clients
• Ability to develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships
