About The Role:

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Immutable, you will have the autonomy to shape our SRE practices, team, and processes, creating a truly customer-driven SRE culture. You will be part of the SRE team, influencing infrastructure, observability, and tooling patterns used at Immutable.

This role has a broad scope, impacting multiple teams across the organization. Key responsibilities include:

    • Developing and releasing Infrastructure as code.
    • Creating and maintaining multiple Kubernetes clusters supporting various internal and external use cases.
    • Managing our AWS Cloud environment in collaboration with the Security team.
    • Defining Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices.
    • Spearheading observability excellence within the organization.
    • Evaluating systems' health, scalability, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensuring world-class incident management processes, automation, and remediation.
    • Providing technical expertise on owned services, including cleanup tech debt, maintenance, and new architecture patterns.
    • Mentoring colleagues based on your experience.
    • Fostering an inclusive, diverse, and positive engineering culture across the business.
    • Championing community building efforts and inclusion initiatives.
    • Collaborating closely with the management team to ensure a healthy engineering organization.

To succeed in this role, we require:

    • At least 5+ years of experience in a similar position.
    • In-depth understanding of SRE best practices and processes.
    • Experience in infrastructure as code development or backend work.
    • Proficiency in one or more coding languages (golang, python).
    • A problem-solving approach, including listening and reasoning skills.
    • System design and strategic thinking abilities.
    • Experience working with AWS or large-scale infrastructure.
    • Knowledge of Observability systems (SaaS and self-hosted).
    • Extensive incident management experience.
    • Strong communication clarity and accuracy.
    • A team-oriented mindset, avoiding silos.
    • Excellent collaboration skills to work closely with product engineers and owners.

Bonus points for candidates with:

    • Experience with containerized and serverless architectures.
    • Work history on large greenfields projects.
    • Prior experience with blockchain technologies.

We Offer:

Global Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. We also commit to paying globally competitive salaries and contributions through Employee Stock Options.
