Opportunity Overview

GenesisCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Oncology centre in Darlinghurst. As a key member of our close-knit team, you will deliver best practice services in medical oncology and haematology nursing, providing exceptional treatment experiences for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Administer immunotherapies and blood transfusions, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Establish a supportive environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends.
  • Deliver comprehensive patient education, empowering patients to manage their care.
  • Collaborate with Oncologists, Haematologists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain professional development, setting goals to address gaps or desired growth.
  • Adhere to policy and procedure, maintaining patient and organisational confidence.
  • Contribute to team goals, demonstrating a positive, enthusiastic, and 'can-do' attitude.
Requirements
  • Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
  • Demonstrated clinical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate care.
  • Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
  • Experience in Oncology is desired, but not essential.
