Electrical Service Technician Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Field Service Technician to join our team in Cairns. The successful candidate will conduct maintenance and repairs on equipment across the region, while building strong relationships with customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine and emergency maintenance tasks on electrical equipment at customer premises.
  • Perform installation and commissioning of electrical systems under project management guidance.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately for timely invoicing and payment.
  • Provide technical coaching and feedback to junior technicians.
  • Follow on-site procedures and customer policies.
  • Take ownership of tasks and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Minimize stock losses through proper inventory management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Full Electrical License
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Extensive fault finding experience
  • Service work and/or industrial experience
  • Availability for on-call work (nights, weekends, public holidays) on a rostered basis
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to use technology to improve efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proactive approach in all aspects of work
