About the Role

This position plays a key role in contributing to the vision and objectives of Woods Bagot.

As a skilled project architect, you will be responsible for driving the design, documentation, and delivery of our award-winning projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan the project design, delivery, and financial strategy in conjunction with studio leadership and monitor performance against that plan.
  • Manage client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP & consultants throughout the project.
  • Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, building and permitting officials to coordinate the work and create innovative, efficient project design and delivery.
  • Review project correspondence, meeting notes and other data to keep fully informed on the project.
  • Actively collaborate at a project, consultant team, and client team level by critically and constructively evaluating ideas.
  • Effectively communicate internally with project teams and externally with consultants and clients through timely and appropriate written, oral, and visual means.
  • Coordinate with the studio management on the status of current and future resource requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges.
  • Maintain project manual and specifications.
  • Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI's during construction.
  • Develop documentation for all phases of design and delivery, including construction administration and Quality Management.
  • Participate in monthly work-in-progress reviews to ensure project timeline, invoicing, and budget are maintained.
  • Utilize Revit and BIM360 and other modern methods for model-based reviews, design, presentation, and production.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks in coordination with studio leadership.
  • Ensure the project is managed effectively and with foresight to maximize profit.
  • Implement GIG (Global Impact Group) initiatives for sustainability, wellness, and social impact throughout the project phases.
  • Lead others by example, participate in staff mentoring and training, clearly define team member expectations and responsibilities, empower others, and delegate where appropriate based on team members' recognized abilities and potential.
