Expert Payroll Solutions Consultant

Our ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing, configuring and supporting payroll solutions for our clients. This position requires a deep understanding of payroll processes, compliance requirements and system functionalities to ensure seamless integration and operation.
You will engage/partner with clients and advise them on the use of payroll systems to meet their business objectives and deliver high-quality solutions. This also involves capacity building, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement activities.
This role offers broader experience across business flows, client interactions and provides training and support to junior team members. You will gain domain expertise plus a fresh perspective of looking at the industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Configure payroll systems to align with client requirements and organisational goals.
- Implement system test plans to ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system.
- Manage integrations between payroll systems and external platforms such as financial systems and external agencies.
- Communicate system capabilities in relation to client needs, recommending solutions for optimal business practices and identifying and evaluating inefficiencies.
- Ensure data accuracy and streamline workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure payroll processes adhere to local, state and federal regulations.
- Develop accurate and timely payroll reports enabling auditing for compliance.
- Identify, analyse and resolve payroll-related issues within the system.
- Enable clients by creating end-user training documentation and conducting training sessions.
- Provide post-go-live support and resolve system/process related inquiries.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems or a related field.
- Experience working closely with Human Resource teams, demonstrating a deep understanding of HR business processes and payroll.
- Solid system integration experience in ADP adaptive, iChris or Preceda.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements such as tax, superannuation, leave, garnishments and financial reporting for Australia.
- Proficient in leveraging HRIS or payroll systems for day-to-day operations, including data entry, report generation, workflow management and processing payroll.
- Experience in working on Agile and waterfall projects.
- Excellent listening, problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced excel capability.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing and configuring payroll systems.
- Certified in payroll functional and technical skills.
