Senior Leadership Opportunity

Lachlan Shire Council seeks a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our organisation in achieving its vision and goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse workforce of over 167 employees, overseeing council operations, budgets, and service delivery, as well as supporting decision-making across infrastructure, planning, compliance, and community services.

  • Oversee the implementation of the Community Strategic Plan and other integrated plans
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive organisational performance and improvement

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of executive leadership, with experience in leading organisations through change, particularly in a rural or regional setting.

  • Experience working with elected members and managing complex issues
  • Proven ability to deliver programs with limited resources

Key qualifications include tertiary qualifications in business, management, or leadership, as well as in-depth knowledge of local government legislation, governance, and service delivery.
