About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Support Worker to join our team at Australian Unity. As a Home Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering in-home support services to our aged care customers, helping them live independently and remain within their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with activities of daily living tasks such as showering, dressing, medication management, and assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • Provide domestic assistance, including light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and general chores around the house
  • Offer social support, including transportation to appointments and social outings, shopping, and providing emotional support and companionship
  • Conduct reporting and progress notes

Requirements:

  • 12 months+ experience and/or completed a Cert III in Individual Support / Disability / completed 1st year of a Nursing degree
  • Availability to work a minimum of 4 days between Monday to Friday within the hours of 8am - 6pm
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and ownership of a reliable comprehensive insured vehicle
  • Fully vaccinated (2) for Covid-19
  • Ability to commit to our PAID 2 week (Monday to Friday) 'The Orientation Program' training and induction program when you first commence
