Financial Systems Analyst

As a Financial Systems Analyst, you will assess applications for Australian Financial Services and Australian Credit licences using your research and analytical skills.


The Licensing team is ASIC's front-line gatekeeper for our regulated participants. The team assesses applications from those seeking a financial services or consumer credit licence, or to become registered to provide company audit and SMSF audit services to Australian consumers and businesses.


You will be required to utilise your experience and strong analytical skills to interpret complex information and legislation to resolve issues and make decisions.


Responsibilities

  1. Assessing basic to moderately complex Australian Financial Services Licence and Australian Credit Licence applications.
  2. Dealing with enquiries relating to assessment and decision making.
  3. Communicating effectively with applicants and preparing documentation on issues identified during the assessment process.
  4. Providing recommendations and preparing documentation for refusal of licence applications.
  5. Liaising and negotiating with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Salary and Classification
  • ASIC3 – Salary: $78,720 + 15.4% superannuation: candidates with minimum 2-3 years' relevant experience.
  • ASIC4 – Salary: $94,198 + 15.4% superannuation: candidates with minimum 4-5 years' relevant experience.

Qualifications

With your demonstrated experience in researching, analysing, interpreting complex information and legislation, you will have the technical expertise and skills to resolve complex customer queries and achieve impactful outcomes.


Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders, as well as sound time management skills with strong attention to detail are essential.


Experience in the financial services space is preferred. Relevant tertiary qualification is required.
