Laboratory Biotechnologist

This position supports our technical team through provision of technical services, with a focus on molecular biology and laboratory-based work.

The successful candidate will assist with implementing organisational processes, liaising with staff to ensure efficient facility operation, and supporting experimental work beyond molecular biology from time to time.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing technical support to the technical team
• Assisting with tissue culture techniques used in plant synthetic biology experiments
• Liaising with staff to ensure efficient facility operation
• Supporting other staff through engagement in experimental work beyond molecular biology

To be successful, you will need:

• Demonstrated ability to promote values and commitment to behaviour expectations
• Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders through technical support
• Working knowledge of plant molecular biology techniques
• Previous experience working in a PC2 facility
