About the Role

Clough is seeking a skilled Principal Mechanical Piping Engineer to join their team on Project Ceres, a landmark urea plant project in Western Australia.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:


  • Delivering technically acceptable engineering design services for approved work to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and Clough's business needs.
  • Working with technical specialists to ensure specification compliance and technical integrity of design.
  • Preparing, checking, and filing design information, including documents and data from suppliers and other disciplines.
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, and improvement of systems across the division.
  • Managing customer relations to achieve mutually satisfactory and technical program outcomes.
  • Liaising regularly with the manager to report progress, areas of concern, and potential changes.
  • Being a proactive member of the team, prepared to work outside conventional boundaries in cooperation with other team members to ensure complete coverage of each work scope.
  • Managing and coordinating design effort to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
  • Managing and improving work performance of direct reports, including MPOE, development plans, and skill/capability development in line with Clough's competency framework.
  • Fostering a culture of teamwork within the discipline and wider organisation.
  • Briefing design engineers on scope of work, contractual matters, design organisation, project schedule, and change control.
  • Providing construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning support to projects as required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:


  • Previous experience in a similar role as a Lead.
  • Major projects experience.
  • Exposure to EPC type lump sum and reimbursable projects.
  • Experience leading and managing a team.
